IV NUTRITION THERAPY
Taken by mouth, a good portion of what you swallow never makes it into your bloodstream. An IV skips that step entirely, delivering fluid, vitamins and minerals directly where your body can use them.
WHY INTRAVENOUS
Oral supplements have to survive your stomach and pass through your gut wall, and much of a high dose simply does not make it. Delivering the same nutrients intravenously puts them straight into circulation at full strength, which is why people tend to feel the hydration effect quickly. We are straightforward about what this is and is not. IV therapy is a well-established way to rehydrate and to correct a deficiency. It is not a treatment for disease, and anyone promising that is overselling it.
WHAT A SESSION INVOLVES
You sit in a reclining chair with a blanket and your phone. Here is exactly how an appointment runs from the moment you walk in.
We go through your history, medications and any kidney or heart conditions before anything is mixed. This is not a formality.
Your blend is selected for what you actually came in for, whether that is hydration, energy support, immune support or recovery.
A small cannula goes into a vein in your arm. A brief sting, then you should not feel it at all.
Most drips run 30 to 60 minutes. You are supervised throughout and can stop at any point.
The line comes out, you get a small dressing, and you go straight back to your day. No recovery needed.
WHAT CAN IV THERAPY HELP WITH?
IV therapy is most useful for hydration and for correcting what is genuinely low. We will tell you honestly if what you are describing needs a doctor rather than a drip.
HONEST EXPECTATIONS
Most clients notice the hydration benefit quickly, often the same day. Benefits attributed to specific vitamin blends are far less well established, and the evidence is genuinely mixed. We will not tell you a drip cures anything. If you are persistently exhausted, the right next step is bloodwork to find out why, not a standing weekly appointment. Lindsay is a certified nurse practitioner and will say so plainly if that is what you need.
FAQ’s
Between thirty and sixty minutes depending on the volume and the blend. You stay in a reclining chair the whole time with a nurse practitioner present. Bring headphones or a book. Most people find it a genuinely restful hour.
There is a brief sting when the cannula goes in, similar to having blood drawn. After that you should not feel anything. If you ever feel burning or discomfort during the infusion, say so immediately, because it usually means a simple adjustment is needed.
That depends entirely on why you are having it. For a specific situation like recovering from illness or a heavy travel schedule, a single drip is often all you need. If you are considering a regular schedule, we would rather look at bloodwork first and treat what is actually low than put you on a standing appointment.
Anyone with kidney disease or heart failure should not have fluid loaded intravenously without their physician’s involvement, because the volume itself carries risk. We also screen for high blood pressure, pregnancy, and any history of reaction to IV vitamins. Certain blends are unsuitable with particular medications, which is why we go through your full list first.
Not for a one-off hydration drip. If you are coming in because you feel persistently run down, we would strongly recommend it, because low iron, thyroid problems, B12 deficiency and several other causes look identical from the outside and need completely different treatment. Guessing is expensive and slow.
