LIP AUGMENTATION

Lip Augmentation in Tiffin, OH

Fuller Lips. Still
Unmistakably Yours.

The best lip filler is the kind nobody notices. We build gradually, respect the shape you already have, and stop well before anything starts to look done.

OUR APPROACH

Balance First,
Volume Second.

Lips that look wrong are usually not over-filled so much as badly proportioned. Before anything goes in we look at the balance between your upper and lower lip, how much tooth shows when you smile, the shape of your cupid’s bow and how your lips sit against the rest of your face. Hyaluronic acid filler is placed in small amounts, in specific positions, to improve that balance. For most first-time clients a single syringe placed well is more than enough, and half a syringe is often the right answer.

THE FIRST TWO WEEKS

Swelling Is Not Your Result.

This is the part that worries people, so here is the timeline before you book. What you see on day two is not what you are keeping.

Straight
After

Lips look full and feel slightly tender. Minor pinpoint marks where the needle went in, which fade within a day.

Day 1
To 2

Peak swelling. Lips can look noticeably larger than the result you asked for. This is completely normal.

Day 3
To 5

Swelling drops away quickly. Any bruising, if you got some, is at its most visible around here.

Week
1

Lips look close to final. Small firm areas may still be settling, which is expected.

Week
2

Final result. This is when we review, and when we add more if you want more.

WHAT CAN LIP FILLER HELP WITH?

Filler adds volume and structure. If your concern is fine vertical lines from movement rather than lost volume, a lip flip with a relaxer may serve you better, and we will say so.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Numbed, Placed,
Reviewed.

We numb your lips with topical anesthetic for about twenty minutes first, and the fillers we use contain lidocaine as well, so the treatment itself is far more comfortable than people expect. Placement takes around twenty minutes. You will leave with ice and clear aftercare instructions, and we book your review at two weeks. Results typically last nine to twelve months, and lips tend to metabolize filler faster than other areas because they move constantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

For most first-time clients, yes, and often half of one is the better answer. A full syringe is one millilitre, which is less than a quarter of a teaspoon, and placed well it goes a long way. Building across two appointments gives a more natural result than chasing everything at once, and it lets your tissue adapt.

Less than you are imagining. Topical numbing goes on for twenty minutes beforehand and the filler itself contains lidocaine, so it numbs further as it goes in. Most clients describe pressure rather than pain. The lower lip is usually more comfortable than the upper.

Typically nine to twelve months, though lips break filler down faster than cheeks or jawline because they are in constant motion. Some clients come back at six months for a small top-up, others go a full year. Metabolism, how much was placed and the product used all change the number.

Hyaluronic acid filler is reversible. An enzyme called hyaluronidase dissolves it, usually within a day or two. That safety net is a real advantage of this type of filler and it is one of the reasons we use it. In practice, almost everyone who waits the full two weeks is happy, because most early worry is swelling.

We will not treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over an active cold sore or skin infection, or if you have a history of severe allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine. If you get cold sores, tell us, because treatment can trigger an outbreak and we may prescribe antiviral cover first. Blood thinners and fish oil make bruising more likely, so we will talk through timing.
