WRINKLE RELAXERS

Botox & Wrinkle Relaxers in Tiffin, OH

Soften The Lines.
Keep The Expression.

Done well, nobody can tell you have had anything done. They just think you look rested. Wrinkle relaxers soften the lines that movement carves into your skin while leaving your face free to be a face.

HOW IT WORKS

Relaxing The Muscle,
Not Freezing It.

The lines across your forehead, between your brows and at the corners of your eyes are made by muscles pulling the skin thousands of times a day. A wrinkle relaxer softens that pull at precise points, so the skin above is no longer being folded the same way and gradually smooths out. The dose and the placement are the entire craft. Too little and nothing changes. Too much, or in the wrong spot, and you get the frozen look everyone is afraid of. We dose conservatively and bring you back at two weeks to adjust.

BOTOX, DYSPORT OR DAXXIFY?

They Are Not The Same Product.

Every clinic lists these together as if they are interchangeable. They are not, and the differences actually matter when you are choosing. Here is the honest comparison.

Botox

The most established and the most predictable. Onset around three to five days, full effect at two weeks, typically lasts three to four months.

Dysport

Tends to kick in a day or two faster and spreads slightly more, which suits larger areas like the forehead. Priced per unit, but Dysport units are not equal to Botox units.

Daxxify

A peptide-stabilized formula that can offer longer-lasting results. Effects may last up to six months, though duration varies from person to person.

Why Unit Prices Differ

A Dysport unit is smaller than a Botox unit, so you need roughly two to three times as many. A lower per-unit price does not mean a cheaper treatment.

Which Is Right For You

The right choice depends on the area, your treatment history and your goals. We use Dysport and Daxxify; Botox is included here for comparison.

WHAT CAN WRINKLE RELAXERS HELP WITH?

Relaxers treat lines caused by movement. Lines that are visible when your face is completely still usually need filler or resurfacing instead, and we will tell you which you are looking at.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Ten Minutes. Then
A Little Patience.

Treatment takes about ten minutes and uses a very fine needle. Most clients describe it as a quick pinch and nothing more. There is no downtime, though we ask you to stay upright for four hours and skip the gym that day. You will start to notice it at around day three, and the full result arrives at day ten to fourteen. Book your follow-up at two weeks, because that is when we can see exactly what your muscles did and top up anything that needs it.

FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the area and on how strong your muscles are, which is why a per-unit price alone tells you very little. As a general guide, frown lines commonly take around 20 units, the forehead around 10 to 20, and crow’s feet around 12 to 24 for both sides. Men often need more because the muscles are stronger. We will give you an exact number and an exact cost before anything is injected.

You will notice softening from around day three, and the full result is in at two weeks. Most people get three to four months from a treatment. Your first few rounds may wear off a little faster, and many clients find the gap lengthens once they have been treating consistently for a while.

Not if the dose is right. The frozen look comes from over-treating, usually the forehead. We start conservatively, see you at two weeks, and add more if you want more movement taken out. It is straightforward to add. It is not possible to take away.

Very little. The needle is extremely fine and each injection is over in a second. Most clients compare it to a quick pinch or a tiny sting. No numbing is needed for most areas, and the whole appointment is done in about ten minutes.

We do not treat anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, has a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis or ALS, or has an infection at the injection site. Tell us about any allergy to a previous botulinum product and about blood thinners, which make bruising more likely without ruling treatment out. If you have had a bad result elsewhere, bring that up, because it usually changes how we plan your dose.
